Benn is a BBKL monster. Kinda guy that hits all categories, and gets you to the championship finals. If he was making 6-7M I probably don't do it, but 9.5M is hard to carry on my team atm.

Benn can be a piece for a team trying to be competitive. If that's what Dave wants to do then I get it from his side.

Exactly my point. Dave got ripped off big time here considering what Matthew gave up for him, and Benn being that much closer to falling off the proverbial cliff.

Return is pretty similar and Benn is only 32 as was pointed out. 2023 2nd and Thompson could both bust and it's not like Dave is worried about cap space. I guess he could have played hardball and tried to offer a 3rd instead of a 2nd but Benn was still the 22nd ranked skater and maybe Dave can trade him again.

I don't think it's a great use of assets to add Benn who isn't an easy move but for what he gave up I don't see it as being ripped off.

Dave is actually worried about cap space...the FLOOR, not the Ceiling!!

Not to mention, Toronto was giving up benn because he was way over cap (so I got him cheaper than usual). I am under cap and just wanted more room.

Been running after my toddler with daycare being on vacation and my wife now 40 weeks pregnant. Today is the first time I have some breathing room to be online and catch up.
