Nice deal for Kim, but both sides got what they wanted

Paul would've been perfectly justified to hang onto that pick but Kyle seemed like the natural trade partner. If he's taking his time with a rebuild...getting multiple picks for the #1 is the right way to go.

A good deal but in a draft like this which is likely ending up a crapshoot with hidden 1st round talent all over this draft i think id prefer the quantity over the quality. Theres not even really a consensus 1 OV IMO.

it’s 100% power or Clarke.

First everyone is saying how bad the draft is after the first handful of players, now you all prefer the later round selections over the top 5

You’re all hilarious lol

Anyways, like I said, happy with power and one of Clarke/Hughes/beniers while still having another 5 or 6 picks in the first 63 or so picks.

Ive never changed my opinion of this draft. I traded out all but my 1st because its gonna be such a crap shoot. Some GMs are gonna get windfalls late in the draft and others with early picks are gonna get some busts. I mean thats the usual risk in drafting but i feel its more pronounced with COVID being a major factor in player development and lack of scouting this year.

All the guys I’m personally interested in saw plenty of developmental time this year so I’m not too worried. I too think it’s going to be a crapshoot once we get out of the Top 5-10 which is why I’m OK trading the assets I did. I’ve also been big on power for a while and have wanted him since I drafted Byfield last year.

In a normal draft year this is meh. In this draft though? Without a legitimate superstar caliber player in this draft it's pretty easy to trade down for a similar caliber player+a few scratch off tickets.
