Yeah pick and choose the parts that make me look like the bad person here. I made an offer that allowed the Leafs to shed close to 15 million in one shot, which from what I gathered needed to be done. Don't ask for proposals and then treat people like shit just because they don't serve whatever agenda you are running at the moment.

Remember teams aren't improving by trading for TOR players they are just doing him a favour and TOR should be thankful they are willing to take on high paid players haha.

In all seriousness though it's kind of funny that my biggest rival's team is so good that cutting cap is going to really hurt his team. Even if the new GM had all Summer it was going to be a tough task to not lose a ton of value.

Biggest rivals in the east will probably be new Jersey and philli now. But if Toronto makes a few nice moves after the season begins he could easily get back into the top group.
