I'm glad I'm not making the playoffs, cuz Steve is planning on humiliating his opponents.

I think its a real good deal. Elite for near elite + solid pieces. Wonder if koomz coulda got more if he got Mik in on a bidding competition but great deal

I think mik would be deterred by next seasons cap hit.

By that line of thinking Steve should be too.

Hey if you're happy to each their own, but there isn't a single high end add here for a massive downgrade.

Believe he could have gotten a bidding war going with someone even if it wasn’t Mik

You can always argue in any trade that the team dealing away the best player didn't get enough.

I'll be curious to see what happens with teams like Mike, Steve and Mik this summer when they have to deal with inevitable large raises in some of their top players' contracts and how they'll adjust. They're all clever GMs...they'll work around it.

I also feel like the return is light. Always weary of trading players like Kuch who create their own offence for players that produce BECAUSE they are with elite talent (Tkachuk). MT is a great player, but the difference between him and Kuch is far greater than 4 scrub pieces (ok Bratt is okay... but nothing great).
