Buds Board Keepers League

Anyone tried this yet? Gameplay is almost completely different.. feels a lot slower than the previous version but I think that has to do with the new passing mechanics more than anything.

Yeah game speed is alot slower, mind you it reminds me of the old NHL games pre-speed boost times. I love theCHL addition obviously...and the RFA/UFA/Offer sheets make the off season so realistic. For the casual gamer/hockey fan Ill bet its too much...but for the gurus like us I tihnk its fantastic.

Pretty awesome - I like the hitting as well. No more line-em-up hip checks ...

Have only really played Be a GM yet. An improvement, for sure, but still miles short of EHM.

the hip-checks and in-the-shot shots are a little to good, but all around pretty epic... absolutely loving it

i only have a PC and a PSP.. any chance i can play nhl 2011? (EA or 2kSports)?

Man last i got was nhl09 last version for PC... it was a total crap.. even the Be a pro mode.. you r supposed to play yourself only.. but instead EA do a position lock and you actually play the whole game with that position (so when i create myself and is a LWer.. i actually control Jason Blake as well when my guy got on the bench)..... i mean wtf is a game like that....

I'd usually support buying from a small publisher but their DRM is terrible. Super annoying to change computers. Plus, can't find it for sale anywhere.

I originally did buy it from them, but since then I've reformatted and gotten a new computer and my license expired so I torrented. If you are going to play it, get an up to date roster system with fixes against some of the easier ways of doing things. Personally I love the game. I used to always start as an NHL manager, couple months ago I started from WHL (Took over the Ice no less), and worked my way up to an NHL job. Difficult, but the game becomes too easy I feel once you get a hang of it. Joining a live league though is suppose to be pretty amazing.

Oh nice, stupid that wasn't default IMO... just fucks with the timeline.

I've never bothered with Live (I only use the xbox when the boys are over) but I might get it just for this game.. I'm hooked and I got bored of 09 pretty quick.

the game speed is not so much the problem, but for me it seems like they changed the "action" camera, maybe im just on crack, but it feels off, regardless i dont have too many qualms with it, i think its a ridiculously good and in depth nhl game, the best so far since the introduction of the skill stick...
