I thought a young forward playing with Backes and Krejci and top pp coming off of a 50 point 1st full season would be worth it for a young dman who is in the 3rd pairing who had a great first year and also has upside. 50 point rookie center forward parayko seems fair to me.

I'm not sure what is so surprising about him taking a 19 yr old future #1 center over a complimentary winger+a waiver pick.

The difference imo is Spooner is all offence, and this year he's struggled and been a healthy scratch (also he got 49 points not 50 to be more precise). Zacha however is productive even when not scoring. Recency bias is also a factor here, but I'd definitely take Zacha over Spooner myself.

I obviously think Zacha is superior to Spooner and much more valuable in our format

in a 1-1 I'd take Zacha over Spooner, no second thoughts

I'd take Parayko over both
