Polak doesn't fit this deal. Who are the other options you would slot in?

Don't think I have another D that would work for me. Markov would be the closest but I'm not sure ridding myself of Habs is worth the stats I'd lose.

I don't. I think stamkos will be a hard sell. Seems like everyone is scared to invest in players who make over 7mil.

I get stamkos had a down year, but I don't think paul was wrong to ask for a small add. Those guys make a lot less each, and together crush stamkos stat-wise.

i think a small add is fair.. for this coming season.. backes + skinner > stamkos.. so a small add is warrant.. but all players in this trade are hard to trade just because of the cap
