Take a step back in terms of initial value but I like what I get for the long term. A nice bonus would be Morrissey cracking that exciting young Jets lineup this fall.

Fairish. The 1st and the 2nd swap is what a 10-12 spot move?(Haven't looked) How Morrissey turns out is the real kicker and can push this deal one way or the other.

Think I'd take Matthew's end on this one, think he maxed out MDZ value, but I'm a big Morrisey fan. Extra assets for scott is always important. Good deal.

MDZ is an interesting case. He seems to be getting better and was easily the Flyers best all around defender this season, but the Flyers haven't committed to him long term and have a ton of kids on the way. It's really hard to say what MDZ's value will be like beyond next season.

If I'm closer to the playoffs, Subban is a guy I hang onto...even with the cap number. He hits the majority of the categories...goal scoring is down a bit though. I need a little more balance and depth on my roster. Del Zotto had great periphs last year in an abbreviated year and if he plays with Ghost next year...could be a nice boost to his offensive numbers.

Gudas seems like a more likely candidate if they keep him around. Played well with MDZ, was pretty bad away from MDZ. Too early to say how the Flyers blueline will shake out next season.
