Signed prospects who are 18 or 19 years old who have played 10 or fewer games. You can exempt them from your 50 contracts if you plan to not use them this year.

Issue arising in another league, should a contract be allowed to slide if it's of an active NHLer?

IE. Noah hanafin, Jack Eichel, Daniel Sprong, Connor McDavid, Max Domi, etc


or of guys with active contracts but not in the show:

IE. William Nylander & Oliver Kylington ? using years of pro and years of the contract.


I know it's meant for use with guys like Hayden Fleury, Joe hicketts and many more who are signed, but returned to juniors, don't count as a contract or use a year of the contract.

you have to remember, much like how we can choose to put a guy in IR or not (regardless of what real life nhl teams do to deal with them), this is the same case

even if the guy isn't slid in real life, its the sliding condition and rule that we are trying to mirror; hence its up to you to control ur assets destiny regardless of what actions are taken in the real nhl

yeah I have chase DE Leo who is slide eligible but in the ahl this year

I don't know that setting up rules on exceptional circumstances is a good precedent to set. Make a rule that slides are slides irregardless of the real NHL in the same way that we are allowed to have active NHLers in our minor league systems, doesn't need to be more complicated than that,

Sliding only should be used if you're over 50 contracts with those prospects. They're allowing you carry an extra contract or two. If you're only at 35 or 40 contracts...sliding is unnecessary.

ya, i wont be sliding Sprong or Virtanen for the reasons above, i'd like to have an option of recalling them if they stick.
