yep

nelsons easily the best piece here
wennberg unproven, MDZ risk
michalek provides same solid amount of periphs in blks/shtoi year in year out and to me thats value piece right there

1. How is Nelson easily a better bbkl piece than mdz? This just isn't true. Del zotto was better last season.

2. I believe long term wennberg will be be best piece.

3. I definitely don't want michalek.

Who cares if Casper agrees?

I could say moving forward wennberg is better. Either way, I don't want your shitty offer. I'll give you a 6th for Nelson + future considerations. Take it or leave it, rookie.

I'd gave to double check. But I think your definetely overselling him on being a top 20 last year. Understand he missed some games, but there's plenty of other guys who missed games too.

You should check. I don't have my own algorithm on me at the moment, but pretty sure he is with 82 game projections. An if I'm wrong, he is still top 25, an of that I'm sure.

Nelson is easily the best piece in that offer. Especially considering his new contract. MDZ is not a good defender and has an expiration date on his production. Just a list of the Flyers defense prospects that are ready or will be NHL ready within the next year and some that are already better than him now:

Provorov
Sanheim
Morin
Ghost
Alt
Hagg
Marti
Manning

He has put up 4 40 point projected seasons by 24 yrs old. It won't just evaporate. He may end up playing with some of your youngsters. Or he could go to another team. Most dmen don't even get to the league until 22-26, there is absolutely no reason his defense can't continue to improve as he matures.

Also, one could say the same about Nelson not getting ice time on nyi, due to their stacked forwards. Should I trade mdz for a 3rd liner? Naaaaaah.

Nelson's role is secure, MDZ is not. MDZ is a 3rd pair offensive dman playing 1st pair minutes...wont happen when the kids arrive.

3rd pair dmen don't put up that many points by 24. And the kids have a few years still. Dmen can takes years to do well in the nhl.

They do when they play 1st pair minutes and are sheltered. Just ask Yandle.

Sheltered 1st pairing minutes?

Don't get me wrong, he has offensive talent and that is what got him to the NHL, but he is equally as bad if not worse in his own end of the ice.

Yes sheltered with offensive zone starts vs weaker competition.
