This trade has been on the table since yesterday. You won't believe how many times Fraser tried to negotiate for more and I had to hold firm and tell him that he already wins...

It wasn't until I said I'm going to pass on his demands that he came to his senses (hence his egg on face comment).

Neilsen and Gio. Two of the absolute best production per dollar players in the league. If its an all in year Shiv you couldn't have two much better players to be a part of it.

I think a problem with the 'cheap productive D' tactic is that a lot of those D men have massive swings in value and can become almost worthless. A premier piece with a price to match that means the opportunities are continnually given to them.

None of Shiv's D core (top5) have a risk of declining in talent value. His C could be a bit more in flux, but as they are C ... their value is better insulated in BBKL.
