Me personally, I'll miss him, but I think I can see that his time with club has come to an end. Great Leaf, best dman we've had as long as I can remember... I hope we get something I like, but I'm reading to be surprised.

Where did you hear this? Strickland tweeted (about a week ago) a quote from the Blues front office that stated the current blues roster would be the same one heading into camp barring "an unforseen trade". I find it difficult to believe that a Kaberle trade was "unforseen" dating back a week...

The rumour running rampant atm is Derek Joslin + 2011 1st rounder, you have to assume Ryan Clowe is involved too, otherwise that is a very underwhelming package.

Trading him for a defencemen prospect+pick is pointless, if thats the best offer id rather re-sign him.

Ryan Clowe is apart of the deal according to the fourth period, and really common sense would indicate that he, or someone like him would have to be. A 5th round prospect in 05, and late 1st rounder are not nearly enough to land Kaberle straight up.
