Cool. It's too bad I missed on Marc, but this is a solid deal.

I agree. I liked the deal when it was just staal for letang + 1st but with all these other additions becomes a big time win for scotty.

p.s. i may have screamed that a side wins BIG time before and often, but i have NEVER suggested that a trade be vetoed even when other gms have asked me to bring it up because i am personally against the concept of a veto unless its necessary.

i think this trade is FAR and away lopsided.

Not veto worthy at all, we've had far more lopsided trades.

This is no where near veto worthy.

Marc Staal is the best player in this deal, the other side got multiple pieces, that is the way these deals work... the issue here is that many people trade away NHL talent for single prospect pieces, so league value might be off, but not enough to worry about.

Stating this is veto-worthy is the only thing that deserves a "wow" lol.

Now, I feel Letang has the chance to be a pretty sick Dman but Marc Staal, I feel has franchise type potential! Selanne's 40, Christian Thomas is a midget and the 1st shouldn't be too great..

lol first of all no one can say staal will be hands down better than letang. they are different types of players. they will be comparable throughout their careers in terms of fantasy value (i.e. you could trade letang right now for the same market value as what you could trade staal for - this deal excluded of course). whats "wow"/veto worthy is that you got letang for staal and THEN you got:

Teemu Selanne
Christian Thomas
1st NJD 2011

for

Juraj Mikus

It is a lopsided trade imo but not veto worthy. I do think people are giving way too much credit to Staal Though. If you want a young defensive d-man, fine. A lot was paid but i also think Letang will be nowhere as valuable as he could have been without Pits recent long term signings of Martin and Michalek. Ice time for the D in Pits will be quite spread out now...What i don't like about this deal is the throwing in of Selanne for nothing. Guy will score 30 or more goals and most will be on the PP. The guy most likely to win the league just increased his odds to win more because he is smarter than the rest of you! Think about that.....

Juraj Mikus has the potential to be an above average defenceman, I don't think this is a bad deal when you look at it 2-3 years from now.

Lol...Well really. How many times does it have to happen before people realize what's going on? Take what Scott Knows about fantasy hockey and add in his salesman experience. Now toss in about 20 gm's out of 30 who do not seem to see past what is really going on in these deals and Whammo!(Pierre reference!) There's your "Winning formula" I think I am pretty good when it comes to fantasy and i can only speak for myself here but Scott is a whole level above. I appreciate it because I know what he is doing and what his plans are and for what reasons. He knows what I am talking about when i say that...Maybe i just do not understand what other ways there are to evaluate players in this league when reviewing a potential trade. This isn't a slam on Scott but more of a tap on the back. Chalk another one up, well done! ;)

Yet you have "Unstoppable" as your signature? lol...You know your good and so does everyone else. Don't pretend to be modest now. You could turn a pile of shit into cotton candy. Its a compliment, take it and run...

Look at your team last year...now consider it is in a 30 team league. Look at what you started with. Pretty fucking impressive.

FTR - Unstoppable refers to my team.. not me lol.

I guess I should've said in the above post "Better then some, as good as some, worse then some.."
