frank, your entire roster of 49 players barely reaches the cap floor.

im not sure what your plan is here, but you better start putting it in place at some point....

I think his active roster is about 4 mil off. Just subbing in his big contracts to his active roster total. Not horrific, he can also put 3 guys on his bench meaning hes likely 1.5 off.

For those who wanted to know....
Pronger, Boyle, Chara, Edler, Vlassic, W. Mitchell, Franson.

1 likely to move though.

what roster are you looking at?

this is the 23 man roster he's likely to ice...and its being generous. some of them will not/may not be in the nhl. all "big" contracts included...

Hensick, T.J. RFA
Jokinen, Olli 3.00
Petersen, Toby 0.750
Eager, Ben 0.965
Olesz, Rostislav 3.125
Latendresse, Guillaume 2.5
Satan, Miroslav 0.700
Hnidy, Shane UFA
McBain, Jamie 0.85
Ericsson, Jonathan 0.9
Skrastins, Karlis 1.375
Strudwick, Jason 0.700
DiPietro, Rick 4.500
Elliott, Brian 0.850
Parenteau, P.A. 0.500
Blake, Jason 4.000
Ellis, Matt UFA
Pandolfo, Jay 2.500
D'Agostini, Matt 0.500
Kopecky, Tomas 1.200
Joslin, Derek RFA
Wisniewski, James 3.25

if you figure hensick signs for maybe (a generous) 1 mill, hnidy around the same, ellis for less, joslin for even less...

~37 mill...like i said. he's about 6 mill below the floor...and some of these guys wont start/stick in the nhl. the only other guys he has are under a mill.

making trades with no real plan is pointless.

If that's Loui Ericsson, that's a huge steal for Dallas. Edler is good... but not 40 goal forward good.

Its not Loui, but who the fuck would know anyway. Please people, post full names of players involved in trades. And When you make a trade keep your roster updated on your team pages...

Yes, i know that, but I am saying that as an example for future deals please use full names. There are a lot of players out there with the same last name. It could be Anders or Loui if there was a spelling mistake. Full names eliminate error and spelling mistakes.

lol i love how people freak out about other peoples rosters haha. i think for the first time we have a SOLID group of gms for each team. if you look at the deals now a days all gms make solid deals. im sure frank will figure it out. value wise this deal gave him exactly what his team needed. just as it did for neel.
Arian wroteCOLONmaking trades with no real plan is pointless.
if there is a trade that gives your team more value than what you give up ALWAYS make the deal. to turn down an offer like that is probably the worst thing a gm can do.
