Burke turns down 1st and a top 6 forward for Kaberle

According to a source The Toronto Maple Leafs turned down a top 6 forward + a 1st round draft pick. I'm not sure how reliable this source is but it looks accurate to me. Just thought I would pass over the information. Burke also states the Kovalchuk saga is "clogging the waters" which ultimately means clogging larger offers in a potential Kaberle deal.
Teams are still interested. A source told the National Post that one of the offers that the Leafs rejected had involved a top-six forward in addition to a first-round draft pick. But some teams — the New Jersey Devils, Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks — are waiting for Ilya Kovalchuk’s contract dispute to get settled before deciding whether they need to make a move.
“It’s clogging the waters,” said Burke, who hopes that Kovalchuk’s arbitration hearing does not drag on for more than two weeks.
Either way, Burke does not expect to receive his best deals until the night before the Aug. 15 deadline. So he waits. And he continues to listen.
“Right now, it’s a strange time to be making trades,” said a league GM.
