The GM Comparable Game!

Rules of the game:
1) Pick an active or recently quit (shiv/shook) GM and compare him to a current NHL GM
2) Give a brief write-up explaining your reasoning
3) Once a bbkl GM and NHL GM have been picked they can no longer be re-picked.
I'll start it off using this template:
Active GM:
Billy
NHL Comparible GM:
Garth Snow
Reasoning:
Can be very active on the trade front, drives a hard chip when in trade talks. Has excellent cap management. Only downfall would be sometimes turns down the best offer and takes a lesser offer.
GM's Taken:
Paul - Jay Feaster
Hong - Mike Gillis
Billy - Garth Snow
Shep - Ken Holland
Mik - Jarmo Kekalainen
Steve - Peter Chiarelli
Lee - Brian Burke
Shook - Marc Bergevin
Arian - Dave Nonis
Nick - Jim Rutherford

i thought the reason is he doesn't reply PMs or goes ignoring you completely like how snow ignores his messages

BBKL GM: Paul
NHL Comparable: Jay Feester
Reasoning: I can totally see Paul throwing an offer sheet on Ryan O'Rielly when it would mean he would lose his 1st Rounder instead because he didn't understand the CBA.

he's a brand new GM, he has some work to do, but could potientially get there someday. He has core pieces in place (much like your team) with some glaring holes.
A little work to do on both parts, but the right players in place.

i guess there was no rule about picking yourself. It's not much fun but it's not breaking a rule, so i added it to the complete list.

In airport bored and checked in and saw a fun game.
Active GM: Steve
NHL Comparable: Peter Chiarelli
Reasoning: Can't manage stars but still manages to win. Chia has traded away Joe Thornton, Phil Kessel and Tyler Seguin who are all now top 15 scorers, Boston now has 0 in the top 15. Steve has owned and traded away Sidney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin and Taylor Hall all top 15 scorers, Steve now has 0 of the top 15 scorers. Both Gm's use team depth over star power to get things done.
Active GM: Lee
NHL Comparable: Brian Burke
Reasoning: Have set values and mindsets towards players that never changes. They win every trade they make. No one likes dealing with them. Very confrontational and never shy away from telling you their exact thoughts.

Ironically enough i would have given Lee - Burke and i would have given Hong Gillis
very similar views amongst many of us here.

Active GM:
Arian
Combarible:
Dave Nonis
Reasoning:
because he can be hesitant to pull the trigger on a deal.
A few good ones PM'ed to me by a GM who did not want to post them and piss anyone off, since arian and i are insider buddies i thought i'd share this one because it's bang on.
