History of the BBKL - A Side Project

Hello gentlemen,

So I want to work on a project over the summer with regards to the BBKL. It is going to take a long time to complete and will required all the records of the BBKL's history. I found the playoff history, but what I need is somebody to go back year by year and compile the final Regular Season Standings broken down by division. I don't know if the standings keep recording during the playoffs, so the pain-staking task of backtracking through the playoff records to find the final regular season standings may be required. If that is the case, I recommend a couple people tackling this, maybe 4 people, each taking 1 year. Just a suggestion. While compiling through the years, if you could make note of the GM's of the teams at the time, that'd also be a HUGE help. I'll also go through when creating the banners, but having it at my disposal will be much easier of course.

Also, I want a recommendation from you guys, what should we do about guys that switched teams without leaving the league? For example, I went from Ottawa to Hartford to St. Louis (simply a branding change), Billy from St. Louis to Ottawa, Nick from Philadelphia to Tampa Bay, etc. We no longer allow this, maybe I'll just make note of the GM at the time. That might be easier than going back and changing all St. Louis stuff to Ottawa for when Billy was the STL GM.

The project? Championship banners.

Stanley Cup, Divisional, Conference. President's Trophy, etc. I also want to re-brand the logo (no offence, Tony), but that doesn't need to be changed if people don't want it to. Since some will want to display these in their sigs, I'm going to make 2 different kinds (see Post 3).

EDIT: After investigating, I'm going to need the entire playoff brackets from every year of this league too.

Please let me know if this is an idea you guys would be down for. I don't to do it all if you guys think it's pointless.

Cheers,
Shep

I'll make these for individual team forums for teams to display:

I'll make something very small to display in sigs. Do not want something huge, as some will have multiple banners wanting to display. They'll be about 1/3 the height of these just for a sample of size.

Haha

Shiv gets to brave the first Metrosexual banner in history. Be proud my friend.

Based on the real Bruins recent success i can probably get most of the banners i won in here somewhere to send to you Shep once i know where i finished, when and for what.

Slight typo in the history there Shep. Boston bruins DEFEATED Toronto Maple Leafs last season in ECF. Not other way around.

Looking back i could have 2 or 3 cups by now if it wasnt for a bunch of idiots who gave Scott his team on a platter. The same can be said by a few other gm's as well.

Yes he did billy!

Sure i took over playoff team after the playoffs of season one, wasnt left with much of anything though. My best prospect was bud holloway and perhaps my best player probably ribeiro. No depth either.

Its been a long grind back
