This is where I become public enemy #1. Sorry Nick, but I had to do what I had to do with the best interests of my team. If I wasn't gone for the weekend this would have just taken place earlier.

Deal Confirmed.

Wow...I love you like a brother Shep, and you're one of the FEW GM's I haven't trashed to this point, but this is such a bitch move and you know it...I don't care if this deal was supposed to be completed before the weekend, or if you're offer was better, once a deal is posted you need to fuck off, it's an unwritten rule, and it's unfortunate that you of all people would break it.

As for Lee, I blame you more because you were the one who confirmed this deal with Nick and posted it...I have no respect for anyone who conducts business like this, so from this point forward don't bother messaging or PM'ing the Washington Capitals, I want nothing to do with your assets so long as you are the GM.

It is convient, but I'd do the same if it were NJ, it's principle. Nothing personal, but I don't do business with people who back out after confirming a deal, whether it be in real life or online, sports or otherwise...

seriously, what just happened? im willing to fight for nick on this one...

especially considering he had to make a preliminary deal to make this one happen.

na guys. no worries; none of Lee's deals are officially final yet, so he had the right to back out before the deadline ended or something. I'd fight my own battle if I thought it was a huge wrong doing, live and learn.

if the 2 week freeze is real, no confirmations; once confirmed, shit is final.

I told Shep about Lee wanting to still talk to him, and told him that I'll live and understand he's gotta take the opportunities given to him.

I agree real shitty practice here. He may have said that it depended on shep before hand but there was no need to post it until it was for sure. We have all at some point backed out of a deal or handled things poorly but I really haven't seen anything like this.

This being said the sun will still rise tomorrow and nick is being pretty damn good about things. So just like the day you pushed cars outta the snow and then won your sports actions good karma has to be coming your way haha

i don't blame shep at all here. if he had a deal going with tampa then thats fine.

the messed up part is tampa posting the deal. i even commented on the post saying "dont ever tentatively confirm a deal." why post if you were going to talk to shep anyways? was nick a back up? a just in case where sheps deal fell through?

real bitch move tampa. not exactly the right way to start out in the league lol.

Come off it. I had a deal in place with NIck that I had permission to cancel from both Mike and Nick once I spoke with Shep if he made a better offer.

Nick was pressuring me to accept the deal because Mike's deal for Kane was hinging on the trade so that's why I tentatively accepted and flat out told Mike and Nick that I might cancel the deal once I spoke with Shep. They were fine with that but apparently some people aren't.
