To Dallas:
Brandon Saad
Boone Jenner
Ryan Murphy
Raphael Bussieres

To Vancouver:
Erik Karlsson
Ryan Ellis

Don't know if I really needed to add Ellis, but I just really don't like him anymore and I really like this trade for my team,

As saad as I am to see Brandon go, I think it is Raphael Bussieres who I am going to miss the most.

I just don't see any value in Ellis right now and I like the package a lot, not to bash a Guy I traded

Even without Ellis, Kareem wins huge.

Btw - Kareem's next step could be Karlsson + for Stamkos lol. That'd be creative

Nah, the cumulative cost would likely be too much. I made this deal because it appeared that Nick was heading in a different direction, and I didn't want to be left with nothing at the end.

Idk I think its a fair deal, 2 20 year old blossoming rookies and a calder candidate last year for a generation talent on d and an underperforming young dman.

but just because the forums are the place to boast, im rather excited about my c core for the future

Barkov
Zibanejad
Jenner
Teravainen
Lazar
Trocheck

May need to move some Cs in the future to fill holes.

Lol just realized I looked at the wrong trade. You definitely made a profit on what you paid to land Karlsson.

Whenever you trade for young assets who have yet to reach their potential you are going to get slighted in the comments section, and then a few years down the line people ask you how you ever got those players. Just ask Nick, the same thing happened when he acquired Benn and Giroux.

This is definitely true, all it takes is one prospect you are unsure for a trade to look bad.
Like per se if someone was unaware Murphy was playing 20 minutes a night straight out of junior, he may just seem like that distant d prospect he was a year ago. Or didn't know what jenner is to Columbus.

that being said karlsson is the best defenseman in the nhl and no matter what goes into it you are picking up an amazing piece. Hate to trade him as he's just going to win Norris after Norris and make a legacy for himself, I believe at least.

My bad for all the player hyping I do on guys I own, I can't help it, the fun in this is the 'see I told you he was good' aspect for me.
