in the last 20 mins we removed DSP for rakell.

Really? I think Hall is the better player and PIMs and hits are one of the only thing my team has been deecent at so turning Lucic into one of the better offensive players in the league seemed like a good idea.
You prefer Lucic Chuck?

I just feel you added too much is all. One add to offset age and upside was alright but you gave up 2 nice adds. Just my opinion.

I like this for Bruyns, Hall's a stud piece other than injury concerns.

Thanks
I would have preferred only adding one too, but it wouldn't get the deal done. I just hope Hall can actually stay healthy since that's the only way I'll regret this.

LOL some of the shitting on that the same group of sheep do when commenting on trades is embarrassing. Even if it's your opinion, the condencending comments to a new GM are toxic. This is a great trade. Hall is better than Lucic - not even a contest - imagine if anyone saying they'd wouldn't have added if they owned Hall, talking about a probable top 10 scorer, young, and who is improving...OMG HITS AND PIMS - get those from Patrick Kaleta or Chris Neil for practically free.
I Love this deal for Bruyns - it's an landing a top-end first line, for a fringe first liner. although both are interesting prospects, neither are worth stopping this deal over.
Bottom teams should be actively offering the top teams trades for their injured players - Hall healthy isn't available, IMO.

I appreciate nicks comments, and i'd think shiv would agree (as you guys are statistically driven GMs!)
i actually thought i was going to get slaughtered by comments on this trade, as Hall is a franchise payer, and Lucic is a nice top 6'er.

haha I actually used the word franchise player when describing hall, however I think it's probably more likely that Lucic spends his entire career in Boston, than Hall in Edmonton -> what is really a franchise player? hahahah
I'm not saying it's a bad trade for Steve - but I think it's a great move for Bruyns.
Trade for injured-slow start, etc - higher value pieces, keep until value or offer comes greater than paid, acquire a struggeling young piece +++ , rinse and repeat.

i've been trying to tell people this same thing,,,
and Hall hasn't been struggeling, he's been quite good, just a freak accident,,but he's been hitting, scoring at a PPG pace and averaging over 1min of shtoi per game

He was the first part of the equation

Now if Bruyns waits for Hall to be healthy, he gets a free value add. Hall has a 10-game tear, he slow-sells him for a struggling piece with some very real adds and his team is on the way up. Also no harm in keeping Hall, having a high end reliable scorer is a real benefit.

Appreciate the support Nick, but have absolutely no problem with negative comments from people. One of the things that appealed to me about this league was people would call others out and give honest opinions. I'm in other leagues where too much emphasis is put on not pissing off others and worrying about how they will take things and I like that people don't give a shit here and will tell GMs they think they made a terrible trade.
I also am confident enough to succeed or fail with my decisions and to me this trade makes sense for my franchise. My prospect pool is deep and Rakell and Finn are easily replaceable from within. Like Nick said I don't think I can pull off Lucic for Hall with a couple question marks if he wasn't injured with Steve looking for instant improvement after a slow start.

Are you guys fucking serious?
Hall >>> Lucic
Bruyns gets a bargain here because Hall is injured for Steve.
