5 years, 4 per...I would not have signed that deal so soon, I like Gio, but he only has one season of top 4 production and ice time under his belt.

Very big difference between the Giordano deal, and the deals you just referenced. The afformentioned players were all touted prospects, and on their RFA deals, Giordano by comparison is 27, and has only ever shown the ability to play top 4 minutes once, and that was in a down year for Calgary.
This deal could come back to bite them in the future.

Gio is a great player, would love the deal if he was 23-24 years old but the fact hes 27 is huge. Could be a good deal, but either way its a bit high and a bit risky. Calgary playing fast and loose with cap space.
Over/Under on the Sutter era?
2 years?

Pomminville fails neuro-psych test.
CBS Quote:
"Physically, Pominville feels great and has been practicing with the team, so both player and coaches are surprised at the results. The Sabres have sent Pominville back to Buffalo to be examined by doctors. The team actually believes it might be the testing system and not related to Pominville's recent concussion, so maybe all this is somewhat positive in that a return is near. However, we're going to assume he's unlikely to play Saturday at Dallas as well."
dunno wtf is going on here, I read he was fine and would be playing any day. odd that with no lingering affects he still cant pass the test.

Teams hiding something IMO, he wants to play and they are going to send him out there without fully having recovered, may regret that huge if they do.

During a game against North Dakota Martin was hit into the board by Avalanche prospect Brad Malone.
oh & the Canes have recalled Jon Matsumoto from Charlotte; Bowman and Dalpe sent down to AHL.
