They've legitimately got depth in their organization. They plug in guys like Saad and Shaw the last two years and now they have a couple more guys they can fill in behind Bolland and Frolik being moved and it allows them to keep Bickell (and maybe Stalberg). They didn't have that luxury after moving Ladd, Byfuglien, etc. after the last cup...they're organization has gotten better since then.

That's amazing Anton. I had not done any research when I moved you those picks. But drafting like that is terrific. It's good to see the lower end teams really trying to use the draft to increase balance in this league too.

Also - love the Bolland deal. Huge for negotiations with Bozak. If he leaves, meh. I also think there's a chance we move Grabo as soon as we sign Bozak - if that happens.

i also dont think there's a market for grabo because of his cap hit. If the hawks could only get a 2nd out of bolland (who's on a short-term reasonable contract) i dont think Grabo fetches you anything on the trade market.

I could easily see Grabo+ as a viable package for a player like Edler. That's just a pipe dream though. Grabo has far more offensive upside than a guy like Bolland. There are teams that would love a player like that including Chicago.

i know you're going through this cute "making up shit" phase but the team was 19-12-4 when both were in the lineup.

also - i dont like mcclean and orr on the ice the same time... there were a few times they got stuck (during icing calls) against the other teams top line.

it was scary.......and dont get me wrong, i like both guys, just not both on the ice together.
