The fact of the matter is that Savard is still an elite centerman with 4/5 more good years, as you yourself alluded to above. Kessel trade is a fucking joke. (outweighs everything else ... pisses me off to no end)
phaneuf trade was awesome, same with getting rid of Toskala and blake.

As upset as I am about not picking Kabanov, I trust steve when he says Ross is a good pick. So I was happy overall with todays drafting.

If the decision were based on health, than it would be Bergeron being shopped, not Savard, he has a much worse injury history than Savard. But to answer your question, there are several reasons that Bruins would look to move Savard first, he is the most expensive of the big three, will garner the most in a trade, and is the oldest of the big four (Seguin, Bergeron, Krejci, Savard).KapG wroteCOLON sure, anyone could have their career ended with that kind of hit. Answer me this, why would boston make savard available over Krecji or Bergeron? The only reason I can think of is that they have concerns regarding his health.
