Give me a refresher. Which trade was this? The only one I can remember something similar was when I was shopping an offer that someone made, I spammed ( because I wasn't sold on it), and then he rescinded the offer after I had already spammed it out. There was quite a big discussion about it with you on the forums.Chris wroteCOLONIn case you've forgotten, you tried to slip a trade offer past me by leveraging an offer that was reneged hours ago. You want to talk about how you treat people by the way they treat you? Look in the mirror.
And to add, I had Lee in my top-20 as well. Difference between disliking a guy for his negotiation tactics and his asset management abilities.
Likely the same one. I remember it involved Nabokov.Kezia wroteCOLONGive me a refresher. Which trade was this? which makes even more important never having the chance of trading them.mr. bruin wroteCOLONThose picks are way over-rated anyway...
No worries, I just finished a mid term so I understand being busy, and you shouldn't be offended you got quite a few votes, everyone did. This was not a consensus list as demonstrated by the variability of opinion in the polls, literally every manager in this league was in the running.Shoalzie wroteCOLONSorry for not participating in the vote, Kareem...I've been very busy in the last week...but good on you for getting that put together. I can't say the results are all that surprising. The guys that win (and win consistently) are the best guys in this league. They're the ones all of us near the bottom of the league aim for that kind of success eventually.
I'm not the slightest bit offended at not getting any consideration...I've not earned that kind of notoriety. Being a nice guy doesn't make you a good GM in the league. I think my experience in this league has made me better in other leagues with a salary cap and/or dynasty element. Even though I'm taking a beating each week, I still enjoy being a part of this. Things will get better if I don't revert to old habits and make careless moves.
couldn't you at least correct the 'p' to 'up' to finalize this emotionally convicting words of encouragement?Scott wroteCOLONI definitely think Shoalzie has been the most improved GM and probably has the best attitude out of anyone in this league outside of Steve. Scott, like I've told you on a few occassions, you're doing a great job with what you have. I also really like that when I put someone on the block that seems to be at a reasonable asking price, you PM me pretty quickly.. that's what smart GMs do.. look for a bargin! Keep it p buddy and you'll be successful in no time!!
Ouch bro, I did a lot for this league before you joined and have huge interest level, however current personal shit prevents me from having time to be active on the forums. I generally always respond to PM, and only ignore stupid things on MSN....Kezia wroteCOLONI don't give a fuck. My rankings:
Toronto - Never seen him make a bad deal, foresight to stockpile picks and cash in
LA - Awesome GM, fair and nice to everyone. Overpays when he wants something, always helpful
Tampa Bay - Powerhouse GM, pays when he wants someone
St Louis - Good guy to talk to, very fair in trade talks
Minnesota - Taking the league by surprise, has built a solid team.. from crap
New Jersey - Can flip from a stacked futures team to a #1 contender at the drop of a hat, but inconsistent in the direction of his club
Chicago - Killer deals, personally find him hard to talk to.
Ottawa - Nice mix of youth and vets
Washington - Kareem is a dick.
Pittsburgh - Flip flops like a pro, but makes a lot of questionable moves. Can afford to.
Columbus - Do they even have a GM? Bry was solid before he disappeared.
Montreal - Maybe a little too late to the race for 1st overall
NY Rangers - More than willing to make an offer when someone asking for someone, which is more than can be said about a lot of GMs
Buffalo - Not many talks, not many pleasant talks. Still done a solid job.
Boston - Solid team, but he should have that with the assets he took over. Loses points for his trading strategy.
Phoenix - Questionable interest in the league, but nice to talk to.. if he ever responds.
NY Islanders - Periph visonary, not active enough.
Colorado - Has been solid in the past, not enough of a sample size
Nashville - Has built a solid Euro-centric team... Impossible to trade with.
Dallas - Nice body of work thus far.
