Protecting Rodrigues and Sutter over Dahlen was a choice.kimmer wroteCOLONwew dapollos you life saver

I also own Dahlen in another league and think Clague has a better chance of developing into a solid player.Bruyns wroteCOLONProtecting Rodrigues and Sutter over Dahlen was a choice.kimmer wroteCOLONwew dapollos you life saver
Re: Seattle is open for business
We will disagree on that, but no way either Dahlen or Clague should have been exposed
Re: Seattle is open for business
I also had a lot of forwards compared to D so getting an exempt D prospect was nice.

What's interesting with Dahlen is he's one of the few RFA/reserve list players that were eligible for the draft. The Sharks signed him to a contract on Monday. He was unsigned and played in Europe last year and he was flipped at the deadline from Vancouver.
I wonder if the Sharks will protect him.

Who else are the sharks going to protect?
Re: Seattle is open for business
I think Karlsson has to be, I've heard rumblings of Burns being exposed, but who knows.

Odds are they'll do 7 F / 3 D because they have expose either Burns or Simek since they're signed for next year and Karlsson and Vlasic are NMC.
They'll have an interesting choice at forward because they have only 5 forwards that meet the exposure requirements...Couture, Kane, Meier, Hertl and Labanc. Dahlen would make sense one of their 7 forwards.

Re: Seattle is open for business
They'll have to sign a couple of their free agents to be able to protect all 5 of Couture, Kane, Meier, Hertl and Labanc. Maybe guys like Nieto or Sorensen or Gambrell get signed just to be exposed.
Unlike our rules, you have to expose 2 forwards and 1 defenseman that are both 27/54 compliant and signed for next year.

Re: Seattle is open for business
"We’re assuming here that the Sharks will re-sign restricted free agent Dylan Gambrell and unrestricted free agent Matt Nieto in order to fulfill the requirement to expose at least two experienced forwards to the Kraken. Both of those players, even if they aren’t selected, could still be useful to the Sharks next season — Gambrell as a fourth-line center, and Nieto as a depth winger and penalty-killer."Shoalzie wroteCOLONThey'll have to sign a couple of their free agents to be able to protect all 5 of Couture, Kane, Meier, Hertl and Labanc. Re: Seattle is open for business
Figured I’d lose savard or Toews - haula or radulov were others. Will miss the peripherals but hopefully montour can fill some of them.
Re: Seattle is open for business
I like Toews, but having no idea what happened this year and what kind of shape he's in or if he'll even come back, too many unkowns.
Re: Seattle is open for business
You must really like Prosvetsov to take him and picks over Kyrou or Backtrom

Exactly why I left him exposed. If he does return great for me but also puts me in a cap grind. Hopefully yandle gets bought out.DApolloS wroteCOLONI like Toews, but having no idea what happened this year and what kind of shape he's in or if he'll even come back, too many unkowns.
Re: Seattle is open for business
I think he's got upside, but it isn't just Prosvetov for Backstrom or Kyrou. There's also a 2nd and a 4th and Foegele. I still get a decent fantasy NHLer and pieces to build my franchise up.Da_Hawks wroteCOLONYou must really like Prosvetsov to take him and picks over Kyrou or Backtrom
Re: Seattle is open for business
Just in case someone tries to kick up a storm, all of the trades I announce during the draft have already been agreed to and there has been no negotiations that have happened since we kicked things off. The posts are simply to make them official for records sake.
