So does the entry draft normally gets more traffic or is this drawn out process typical for drafting here?

Works for me, I'm likely to get a better player than should with my next pick.

This draft should be quicker than this but it just works out that a couple guys aren't here and they have multiple picks.

I like what's left on the board if the skipped picks aren't made up by the time I'm up at 30...their loss if they don't pick by then.

Pittsburgh (25th pick) will be on the clock in 15 minutes...

ya how does this work - starting on NHL day one... is there a time point to start making picks? i.e. daily at noon... or is it just 24 hrs per team at whatever time you start at?

The free agent claims and in-season waivers don't start until after the roster submission. We'll find out that date very soon. It's usually a week or so from the start of the season.

Gonna post this here even though it has nothing to do with the waiver draft but I don't want to start a new thread. It was pointed out to me that I have the rights to Adam Clendening, so I'm going to pick him up. Gonna try and dig further to see if theres any other examples like this, but he wasn't on any of my paperwork when I was handed the team.

Edit: Found another one. Kevin Gravel.

yes. I guess starting Friday once Shoalzie opens the dedicated thread.

After Mike and I pick, the draft will essentially be over and I'll start a free agent claim thread that will open at noon tomorrow if no one has an objection. With the large number of missed picks, those guys will have until midnight tonight before we shut the draft down and all un-owned contracted players (that aren't 2015 draft eligible) can be claimed.

Please refresh my memory, does a player need to be signed to be claimed?

I thought that's the point. It's kind of an extension to the waiver draft but you can only claim contracted players as free agents while in the waiver draft, you can draft an unsigned player if they're a certain age.
