I agree, although the flip side is that there are GMs that expect a discount because it's their systems goalie. Needs to be a middle ground of just fair value.

What's worse is i keep getting a guy injured few minutes into his first game of the week, this time happened to Brodin, in a very stupid way he had no chance to defend from.

Oh and the freakin Sens scratch Wiercioch instead of putting him back where he belongs, on the left side.

Alright since you see it necessary to bring this up, I will address it publicly Kyle.

1) You offered me Ruutu+Jurco+Marchenko+Hishon for Girgensons. I accepted, and said I needed to clear a few spots to make it happen.
2) You offer to 'help me out' by taking back Pickard to complete your system. I said no.
3) This is where our stories will no doubt differ....
You will claim I say no I will never move the goalie and will hold them hostage until I land an extreme overpayment.
In fact what I tried to explain before you went into your turtle shell of hysteria and entitlement was that firstly asking for more from me after offering me a deal and my accepting it isn't exactly a good strategy, secondly Pickard (being my top goalie prospect) isn't just an add-on, and thirdly given my goaltending situation (e.g. Nabby likely retiring next season) it makes little sense for me to give away a goaltending prospect who is so close to NHL duty just to appease you in a deal like this.

Now, since you seem to forget, I have offered Pickard to you multiple times since landing him a year or two ago, and each time you have told me you are only concerned with the NHL tenders in your system without even listening to offers. That is fine, you don't need to land all of your system goalies, Anton for example has the NHLers in the ANA system and is doing just fine, however the inevitable problem of such an approach is when these goalies reach the NHL level, if they ever do, their price might be higher.

Cant complain about about near point per game players having multi point games, especially ones that are due. It is what they do and why we want them lol. If zack smith put up a three point night sure but not ladd. Had to have seen that coming.

I'm adverse to trading goalie prospects as well, but not because others have held me hostage. Rather, I don't believe the value of goalie prospects is near enough to off-set the risk of said prospect becoming a starter and tripling their respective value. I can't tell you how many times I have traded a goalie prospect (Holtby, Neuvirth, Bernier, Markstrom) only to see their value sky-rocket shortly thereafter.

having high-end goalie prospect performing elite in one of the main euro leagues or AHL stud status (or in Bernier's case - top end backup) is one thing, but having a 3rd rounder going okay in NCAA, CHL or MHL is just picking on another GM (wanting more than an earlier pick that the goalie was recently, or a similar chance-to-make-it skater).
