Evgeni Malkin extended:
The Pittsburgh Penguins have agreed to terms with forward Evgeni Malkin on a long-term deal.
The eight-year contract extension is worth US$76 million.
$9.5mil per year cap hit.

They must know that the cap is going up big time after next season.
As for Leo, sounds like he'll be back, but as a UFA? Sucks for the Leafs, but good for BBKL leafs.

He could be back in 2014-2015, as he "hopes" in his tweet. He'll be a UFA so there's more monetary incentive to return to the NHL, which is good for me. It also means 30 teams can offer, which is bad for the Leafs.
