Due to the game being cancelled yesterday between Bruins and Sens, the Bruins will need to play 3 games in 3 days to finish the season but NHL rules prohibit this. There is potential the game may be played in Providence as TD Garden is booked for Celtics playoffs. This is an issue because they already have to make up the Lightning game that was cancelled during the Blizzard. You might find them playing on the 28th of April in the afternoon which is a weekday non holiday. Boys are going to be burnt going into playoffs.

Maybe you mean 29th? 28th is a Sunday.

The season is supposed to end on Saturday the 27th. I wonder if they'd consider playing that game on that Sunday rather than wedge it in on an off-day. I don't know when they planned to start the playoffs...usually they start on Wednesday/Thursday of the next week.

It might even be cancelled. Who knows....

If the game has no bearing on the playoff seedings, that's a possibility. Boston is still competing for the Northeast and Ottawa is trying to hold off the two New York teams from falling into 8th. Winnipeg isn't out of it in 9th.

Regular season is supposed to end April 27th, playoffs begin April 30th.

Last night, Sunday, April 28th was being widely speculated. An afternoon game to give as much time between that game and the start of the playoffs and it does not lead to 3 games in 3 nights for either team. Also likely not starting either team on the 30th.

Only problem with that date is the Garden is booked for the Celtics playoffs. Not sure if they are in playoffs or definitely playing cause i absolutely despise b-ball and could care less. If they are i have seen some people say that it could be played in Providence. I think that would be pretty cool if so.
