LOL for some reason this discussion resulted in my venturing back over the Leafs board at HF and the first thing I see is this...

Oh my god.

Another way to look at it....
Hamilton is an 18 year old ROOKIE defenseman, while Seguin is in his THIRD nhl season.

And they collectively STILL have more points than the 8 year veteran in his prime that they were traded for.

Utterly humiliating.

He is literally adding the production of 2 players - noting that their combined point totals are better than Kessel's, a single player, and concluding that Kessel is the lesser piece as a result....

I continuously find myself shocked that these people actually exist.

Wouldn't you still rather have Hamilton + Seguin over Kessel?

I find on hfboards one has to avoid a few things:
-All Leafs related things.
-Homers. (90% of hfboards)
-People talking about prospects they clearly haven't watched.
-All trade proposals and opinions on trades.

But there definitely are lots of little tid bits of information and videos people post on there that would be hard to find elsewhere.
