Agreed. I think Dion and Gunner were the worst and when that happens the leafs don't win as they are the backbone of that d. Dions penalty.... it was as bad as Kassian's in the Canuck game, selfish penalty that changed the game. DumbFair Deals Steve wroteCOLONboth better get in
Our D was garbage last night
Grabo and JVR were by far the leafs best forwards.shooker wroteCOLONAgreed. I think Dion and Gunner were the worst and when that happens the leafs don't win as they are the backbone of that d. I though Franson was the best dman for the leafs last night. I thought he was the only guy who handled the puck with even the slightest bit of poise. I also thought the play of Grabo was super encouraging going forward for you guys. He, imo, was the best leaf forward. JVR was alright too but he made way too many turnovers for me to say he was the best.
Hard not to be discouraged after that game as a fan but hopefully the leafs can bounce back, I don't want to see the Bruins get their confidence back.
Leafs win game 2 by an identical score of 4-1. Calling it now lol.
top row purples, dead centre ice. Leafs released 250 tickets this morning and I was lucky enough to click at the exact right time.Fair Deals Steve wroteCOLONgosh, for a 123bucks will you be able to see the ice? i've never heard of tickets that cheap in canada.
That's not TOO bad. For playoffs, based on all the prices I've heard, at least you're at centre.Mike wroteCOLONtop row purples, dead centre ice. i was thinking the same thing, i'd expect a big game wed night. it will be interesting to see who randy goes with. I can see him scratching Gardiner and bring back in Liles, even though Gardiner is twice the player, Liles makes fewer mistakes.shooker wroteCOLONThe puck support the leafs showcased tonight was just awful. a lot of unforgivable turn overs cost the leafs but they also didn't help their situation. It reminded me of game 1 so I expect to see players staying back to give defensemen outs next game. Leafs will win game 4.
Part of the reason that the Leafs puck support is so poor is because the forwards immediately revert into a zone defense once the puck is wrapped around the boards (to better contest shots from the point/slot).shooker wroteCOLONThe puck support the leafs showcased tonight was just awful. a lot of unforgivable turn overs cost the leafs but they also didn't help their situation. Gardiner was easily the Leafs most dynamic defenceman, there isn't a chance in hell that he is scratched next game. I do, however, hope that Liles draws in for O'Byrne.Fair Deals Steve wroteCOLONi was thinking the same thing, i'd expect a big game wed night. it will be interesting to see who randy goes with. I don't know what game you were watching... The Gardiner I saw tonight looked fantastic, and Carlyle remarked as much in his post game press conference.shooker wroteCOLONGardiner was awful tonight. Yea he got a goal but he was not himself. Loads of give aways and countless lost battles. Carlysle has broken him. Hopefully for leaf fans, he broke him to rebuild him but who knows. He will be a great nhler for time to come if Carlysle doesn't totally kill him mentally.
Although Gardiner is twice the player skill wise, he isn't playing like it. I also see Liles in for game 4 but I don't see how Gardiner could be scratch over O'Byrne, the guy is awful.
