This is one fucked up thread..But really a lot of good and bad stuff said in here. The highlight real of Nates trades is just WOW..feel so bad.

This is just another case of the majority of this league overvaluing picks and prospects. Why does a proven say 60 point player = 20th overall draft pick? That is just an example but fuck...i get rebuild and all but seriously. I thought we learned the value of actual players last year with the man games lost to injury and the vast roster holes. No way does a proven roster player that gets 40 points deserve a 3rd or 4th round pick in return...that is fucked.

I don't fault Scott at all. He had the prospects and picks to woo a guy for a young stud in the making and he got him. He has a very special way with words and once he has his target set he almost never misses. He deserves credit for that. But like the others have said its a bad move for everyone else and the return could have been much higher and Scott would have paid. Leighton is the new stud over Varlomov for a rebuilding team? Really? The man crush on prospects and picks in here is fogging the true value of proven talent. Some may agree/disagree but take a step back and look at some of the payments made for picks. I am amazed. But where there is sellers there will be buyers and vice versa. I guess everyone has there values and goals but mine is and shall always be win win win. I understand that everyone took a team at the start with various assets and picks. Some teams needed to go a certain way with a rebuild and others needed to compete but the balance of star players or balanced rosters in this league now is on like 10-15 teams. That means you have 15 teams in rebuild which way over-rockets the picks and prospects value. I guess that alone shows the quality and or smarts of certain GM's over others.

PS i watched Glee last night for first time and must say i liked it...hehe. Sometimes you have to watch those shows to get that special time with the wifey...Apparently sleeping in the same bed doesn't count as quality time spent.

There have been plenty of BS trades made in the past, why do you think Scott's roster is as good as it is today?
