Wait until miami puts the rest of the roster together.. there's going to be guys willing to take paycuts to play with their big 3. Kobe didn't win with a Big 3. He did have Shaq, but he's proved in back to back years that he doesn't need to play with a superstar (or two in lebrons case) to win.

Mike Miller to the Heat. There's a possibility of Derek Fisher and Shaq joining 'em.

It doesn't matter how many players take paycuts, there is only so much space to go around even for league minimum. I suspect they will sign 3/4 good vets and fill out the rest of the roster with garbage players making the league min. Not that it will matter, the team is built on the strength of the big 3.

As for Kobe, you are an idiot if you think he won it alone...The brief period he was alone (following Shaq's departure) the Lakers were a mediocre club. It wasn't until Bynum developed and Gasol was brought intol the fold that he started winning. You can't win alone in this league, if anyone can it's Lebron because of his playmaking, but even he couldn't do it alone...

If you don't think Odom, Gasol and Bynum are top echelon players and in Gasol's case a legit superstar than I don't know what else to tell you.

I can't see D-Fish abandoning Kobe and the Lakers to join the Heat, can definately see Shaq moving though, he has a history with Flash and Pat Riley as well as the Heat organization.

The following lineup is what I'm hearing from reading some online rumours, I personally can't see how that is financially possible, but it's the word on the street. If true you can kiss any legitimate shot at a title for at least 5 seasons.

Shaquille O'Neal/Zydrunas Ilgauskas
Chris Bosh/Udonis Haslem
Dywane Wade/Mike Miller/Eddie House
Lebron James/Raja Bell
Derek Fisher/Mario Chalmers

ok even if we're counting Gasol as a superstar, that's still 2 to the 3 that Miami has. Cleveland had a pretty good and underrated supporting cast for Lebron but he couldn't do the job, so he needs to join 2 other superstars to accomplish what he's after. That's what I'm getting at. I'm not saying Kobe has a shit supporting cast, his supporting cast is great, but is it really close to what Miami has and is going to add?

Do you watch basketball...? Los Angeles is a playoff team without Kobe Bryant, the Cleveland Cavaliers might be one of the worst teams in basketball next season without LBJ. Furthermore, what is it that you are arguing exactly? First you claim Kobe did it alone, but LBJ couldn't, now you are conceding that Kobe did do it with help, but his feat is more impressive because the Heat have one more superstar?

P.S. Chris Bosh is not a superstar, so you're point is invalid, but even if he were your argument is still tremendously flawed.

No matter how much I don't like Bosh, he is a superstar. My argument is that Lebron needs more superstar power than Kobe to hopefully get to his playoff level.

Bosh is not a superstar, that word gets tossed around far too lighlty. He is a great offensive 4, but he can't defend his position against the more athletic big man in the league, and has been made to look stupid in the past by real superstars like D12, Shaq, KG and Gasol. A superstar elevates the play of those around him, and can take a team to another level by himself. Bosh has never been able to do that, dating all the way back to his collegiate years, what he is a perennial all star, and ELITE #2 option, much like Pau Gasol, but to a lesser extent (at least until he proves he can win it all).

As for your second point...It's simply untrue, LBJ took a shit team and put them over the top seemingly by himself, he even took the Cavs to the conference finals a few seasons ago, granted they lost, but that team was shit...It's pretty clear the guy is on Kobe's level, I would argue higher given his age, obviously the league and it's writers agree as he has won back to back MVP's.

Seriously? 4 hours in, and they get keys to the city?

Here's to Kobe and number 6 next year.

This move is so monstrous for us.

So glad Turk is gone.

PS. It's going to be fun watching all those guys try to share the ball in Miami.

NBA kinda blows now anyways. I wish they would allow hand checking again. sigh

The big part of the deal was Chandler, he is an elite defensive five who can rebound and finish above the rim when healthy. IF we can add a legitimate young PG who can run the floor, spread the offense, and create off the dribble we could have quite the dynamic run and gun offense, a few names that might be in play and fit the above criteria are; Monta Ellis, Ricky Rubio and Darren Collison.

Some caller on the Fan 590 just said that TNT reported a possible Allen Iverson to Toronto signing.

Gross.
