he has had a very meh year and I think Roy is stellar. I was hoping Roy would be our number 1 ever since the camp rosters were released. Imo they picked the right goalies. I think sheahan should have made the team. I know I am a homer but its a short tourny and his instant chem with Hamilton could have been helpful. Overal good choices though imo.
agreed completley...I think Shehan should be there.

was at the game tonight sitting 7 rows behind roy for periods 1 and 3.
roy looked great. very calm, very positionally sound. the lone goal against deflected off a stick and was nearly unstoppable - i had a perfect view.
ryan ellis should be in the nhl and would be on pretty much any team other than NSH. kid has so much poise and runs the pp very efficiently. very rafalski-esque in almost every way.
roy + ellis were the best players all night.
kassian and gudbranson are both big mean bastards. kassian on occasion made some goofy decisions with the puck, specifically on the PP. if he sticks to what he's good at - forechecking/driving the net - and doesn't try to be some high finesse playermaker that he's not, he'll be successful in the nhl.
foligno = all around good
couturier was pretty invisible to me, but he just has that professional demeanor/swag about him. it was as if he was acknowledging that he didn't have it this night but that he knew he could turn it up when it mattered - if that makes any sense.
i only knew adam larsson was playing because his name came up on the screen when he took a penalty - seriously invisible.
landeskog looked really good. very strong on the puck and throws his weight around as well.
does this team beat the states in the gold medal game if it comes down to it - im not sure. but i would never in my life bet against canada in a gold medal game.

I've never liked that comparison, for the simple fact that Rafalski is a superior skater.

Kassian just threw a HUGE hit on some Czech player. Looked clean to me (Shoulder to chest) and there was no penalty called when it happened. Kid got stretchered out and they changed it to a 5 minute penalty and game misconduct after the fact.

Brayden Schenn FTW; pretty funny/shitty that he wasn't named player of the game, Gudb got booed by the crowd, LOL. - Not saying he wasn't good, or that the crowd was actually booing him, but what did Brayden need to do? Score 5 goals?

I fucking love it when the underdog team wins, great game from Sweden, and as a bonus we get to see Canada play one extra game.

i do not expect roy to see the ice again. he played terribly, but worse, his confidence has to be shot.
he looked shaky and lost all night even in the shootout which is supposed to be his "specialty".
dylen olsen can ride pine as well.
schenn, foligno, ellis, johansen, howden, cowen all played well.
