You're D is over the hill and injury prone, my defence is young, cheap and on the rise. My forward core just crushes your's, it's really not even close. Then there is goaltending...Also not close, and depth, which isn't even a contest.

All bragging aside fellas, there is no way that everyone cannot consider Shiv's team the clear cut favorite. Like I feel i have a petty good team as do many others but if you consider the stat categories we have in place and what it takes to win he will walkaway with this pool. You think Shiv gave up Malkin for Lecav because it was equal?..lol He specifically focused on FOW SHTO and HITS and he got a huge bump. People can jizz over young player names all they want but if you want to win now you throw names out the window and focus on the numbers.

No one touches those stats I'm sorry. It bugs me because i would like to think i have a chance this year but it aint going to happen with a team like this in our league. I know we still gotta play the games and we can hope Shiv experiences what happened to Kareem last year just to test him even more but more than likely it wont happen with the amount of depth he has...

He is light years ahead in some categories.

Really though you never know, a goaltending injury post trade deadline, or a cold stretch is all it takes. But he is the favourite.

I dont know but they all look to be in the active roster he listed..lol..I wont take nothing away from him. He built a powerhouse and is using our rules and cats to the max. Good on him.

You are ignoring alot of key factors here Kyle...

1. Points are an added feature this year, that is going to place a far greater emphasis on offense than in previous seasons. Shiv has placed offense on the backburner in favour of other periphery categories.

2. Depth...As demonstrated last year, injuries happen, and when players go down you need a replacement that can fill in, outside of his top 20, Shiv has nothing...Not on the farm, and not on the bench.

3. Several of Shiv's players are up there in age, and have undergone a decline in recent seasons (Lecavalier, Gonchar, Lidstrom, Savard, Modano), say what you want about these players, but the numbers speak for themselves, and each of these players are getting worst not better. With advanced age also comes increased liklihood of injury, something Shiv cannot afford.

4. Shiv has a young, relatively inexperienced and unproven goaltender in Jimmy Howard, is he the goalie from last season? Furthermore, playing on the wings, does Howard get enough SOG against to compete with other elite goaltenders who get a ton of shots on goal, and give up less GA, and thus a greater save pct.

Shiv is becoming more and more overrated by the day...I can't wait to whoop his ass by a sizeable margin. He doesn't have the stats to back up his talk, believe me Kyle, I've looked into this more than you could imagine... I've looked at the numbers over last season, the season before, and the season before that, as well as taken averages into account, I have built my team to reflect the lessons learned from last year and taken recent changes into account, I have looked at numerous goalie/forward/defenceman trends, studied moves that worked and didn't work in BBKL last season, as well as studied the role and opportunity of numerous players in the NHL/AHL/CHL etc. On top of that I have commited god knows how many hours into personally viewing the players I trade for.

With chucker gone I guarantee one of Backes or Oshie will lose their wing eligibilty...It's not even a matter of opinion, I guarantee it will happen...CBS has to have 4 centers listed for STL.

5, Howard can take ANY goalie in a given week. I'll even go as far to say that Howard will be a Top 3 goalie this year.

There are only two things that can make me lose this year:

1) Organizational Depth: My team can't handle too many injuries. <------ major reason why I think I will lose
2) Facing Shep's team in the final even if I am healthy <---- i will lose.

In short, Kareem the only way you will beat me is if my team has some major injuries. IF HEALTHY (big if) my team will rape yours.

I was just coming to post that your team has 40 more points based on last years stats, than any other team. 2nd is Scott.

Shivs team is the best in the league, but not as great as Scotts team last year. I think hes the favourite, but hes not so far ahead that hes in the clear if he runs into some bad luck. Also lots of things can happen throughout the course of the season, its h2h one bad week is all it takes (trust me I know).

Shiv...You are honestly an idiot...Of course you beat me in peripheries...Half my team either didn't play last season, experienced injuries OR is just entering the period where they will begin to contribute. A player like John Carlson shows up as a useless plug on your info charts, in reality he is going to be one of the better defenceman in H2H next season. This is why you're predictions are so meaningless. Not to mention you completely ignore trends, you are operating under the assumption that everything will stay constant. If I believed everything would stay constant, do you honestly think I would keep the same team?

Again Shiv, this is the difference between me and you, you look at last years stats and assume it will remain relatively similar, I study a players growth, study the coaches plans for said player in the upcoming season, study the numbers over not only the full season, but at different parts in the season. This last part is important to note as it can sometimes be an indicator of a big season to come, just ask Scott, he did the same thing with Stephan Robidas I'm sure. And most importantly look at the changes made and opportunities on said team. You don't...And for those reasons you're numbers will NEVER tell the real story.

As for injuries, you bet you're ass they will happen, and you better not use that as an excuse when I cripple you're depleted team, because that's the nature of the game, I specifically weakened my 20 man roster, in favour of a deeper overall team.
