Is he not allowed to be over 50 until the day of the next roster lock (which would be a couple hours away)? Or are u just never allowed over 50?

I have no idea. But you fellas enforce the rules on everyone else. Whatever the punishment is should be enforced here.

5-2 : If a team is over the roster maximum they will be charged a 3rd round pick in the upcoming draft if a 3rd pick is not owned their next two highest picks will suffice.

Columbus currently does not own his 3rd. So it would seem his 4th+5th.

I thought our rule has been that you can't claim a player off waivers or claim a free agent if you're already at 50 contracts. Dave asked me after the fact and had already dropped Benoit. I know that we don't allow free drops of signed players in-season.

Dave should be fined. You guys have laid it to Paul, myself, Lee...etc... when you could. As Dave once said to me "rules are rules for a reason, if we don't enforce them then why have them"

Absolutely, he shouldn't have made the move and should've asked about the rule before making the claim.

Harry Zolnierczyk signed after roster submission - he was already in my minors and will continue to be there. Pretty sure he has to clear waiver here - just a heads up.
