Agree. On the big ice he seems out of his element.
I agree to both statements

Take him out and put Sharp in his place

I'd like to see benn with Crosby

I didn't mean put sharp with crosby...just meant put him in the lineup

Winner gets first place overall...loser (regulation or OT) gets the last of the 4 byes. The Russians not winning in regulation pushes them into the bottom 8. Assuming they just go most points against the team with the least...Russia-Norway, Switzerland-Latvia, Czech Republic-Slovakia, Slovenia-Austria are on Tuesday. The 4 teams getting byes are clearly the 4 best teams in this tournament.

anyone else's CBC.ca feed all fucked up? Mine's been this way the entire tournament - and I like it: no adds, footage of the rink during intermissions, no Glenn Healy, and the other two guys' mics are live during commercials and stuff.

I was wondering if they'd reseed after the first round...guess not.

Sweden potentially has the easiest matchup in the quarters. I've not be impressed with the Czechs and I've already seen how weak the Slovaks are...shouldn't be a problem for Team USA. Russia-Finland could be a very good game and don't sleep on the Swiss if I'm Canada. The Swiss could be giant killers...Hiller has been the best goalie in the tourney.

Canada's forwards really need to step up. The D is carrying them. Loved Benn/Crosby together.

I think Canada is in trouble. If we get to the semis, it will be on the back of 0 teams that can come back at us. It is either teams we will crush or teams that try to win 1-0.

Meanwhile, the US, Russia and Sweden will get to the semis and finals after some tough tests. Canada still has no idea what lines it will be going with.

This is probably the second best scenario for the US. Facing Canada in the Semis with Canada not having any experience playing a tough game. The only thing better would have been to be in the other bracket with Russia/Sweden in the Canada one haha.

You should be excited. US has a very very real chance of bringing home gold here.

US has looked the most dangerous by far, IMO.

i dont get the U.S. hype at all.

they pummeled two teams they should have pummeled and scraped by the russians in a shootout in a game they should have lost in regulation.

no team at this point has established themselves as a front runner.

Although they may have not established themselves as a front runner, I think they are playing the more complete game and the chemistry seems to be there. Canada will probably have 4 completely different lines again next game.

They have a game plan. All players have defined roles. All units stay the same. They have chemistry. They have just as much skill as anyone else. And they have Jonathan Quick in net.

Americans looked out-classed by the Russians and IMO were really lucky to get that win. Really good team, and no one doubts the speed they have on the wing, but I don't think the play on the ice has looked as good as the other big 3.

Really? I thought Russia has looked the worst of any of the Big 5.

In some of the other games, I agree. However I thought the Yankee dmen looked like they were barely containing the Russian forwards; with the puck the americans seemed to be held to one- and done consistently.

that has been obviously the case so far.

I still see the Russians as favourite against Finland given the injuries. Ovechkin remembering how to play hockey would help of course. Semin did it today.

And the US has looked the best so far imo, especially on special teams, because the players seem to know exactly what to do.
