flight risk overseas is minimal but there
Haha I guess I'm on the optimistic side of this tweet - hoping for a better nhl team for Nino. However I don't see anything happening imminently really...

Nino will likely be buried on Long Island. They are too incompetent to move him for anything of value.

Shep makes a good point. The Islanders only make transactions that involve picking up 1st round picks off waivers 5 years after being drafted

Nino wont go overseas if he's playing in the AHL

the isles will move him for a player of Need. Nino would flourish on a team like Det or Stl

That's for my star winger Eaves though,

But yeah, DET would be a nice fit, hard roster to crack though.

Question is, do the Isles organization of grown business men feel good and sleep at night comfortably knowing that they've ruined a young kid of a talented hockey player's life whom they've drafted 5th overall? A young kid's life I say!!

Fuck!!! Nonis should be all over Nino, no homo.

They gotta be yearning for another D body... Streit looks like he should have retired, Hamonic & MacDonald are in for a long year if it's just them holding down the fort.

No way. Big body prospect with a complete tool set, elite work ethic, good attitude and a history of big game heroics; YES PLEASE.

They'd want a really good D prospect back, a long with (say a Ashton)

which i'd do.

the funny thing is, if he was Russian and was demanding a trade like this, he would be insulted and called out for his bad attitude;
Nino does that --> it's only the Islanders' fault and his attitude gets praised :)

Nino is known to have good character though... Time spent on the Winterhawks, CHL all-star, & WJC, etc... There are kids from all nationalities known to have personality/commitment/character downfalls.

Easy there, I truly believe Nino worked his hardest given the kind of ice time and situation he was put on last year, and sure, if he was really that prodigy type superstar I'm sure he wouldve done more than score one goal in 55 games, but check his other stats... 129 hits? that's quite sick. He threw his body around, playing the role he was given. That only tells me that barring the generational talent caliber player in him (even Stamkos as a 1st overall couldnt top 42~ pts on fourth line all season in his rookie year?), Nino did all he could given the circumstances and Capuano is a fucking dick. Besides the scoring which just doesn't translate due to the kind of talent (lack of ) they have in the 4th Isles line, He's still got much more to prove and it's the Isles loss the longer they keep him out for whatever reason.

At this rate, you just have to be able to stay healthy to crack that lineup...

I know your pain... Andrew Ebbett, Mason Raymond and Zack Kassian as a 2nd line.... Should be our 4th. Your D is what is going to kill you, a depleted back end when it wasn't your strong suit to begin with. Thankfully you have a great coach and a great team defense or I don't know what would happen to you guys lol.
