When ESPN is showing these KHL games... is there a way for us (non-americans) to get them?

I watched a little Dynamo vs. Lev today on ESPN 2

Not sure its worth it ... you get to listen to Barry Melrose and Steve Levy talk nothing but lockout and the only names they mentioned were Ovechkin and Chara. No one else mattered, apparently. I really need a game called correctly and names mentioned, not a couple dudes having a conversation in the stands ... I was not happy.

hockeystreams.com - 18 bucks a month and showing KHL, OHL, WHL, and the occasional GJMHL game nightly.

it's not every game for every league but it's a good selection.

KHL: most games
OHL: most games
WHL: some games
QMJHL: occasional game

from hockeystreams:

NHL Lockout
As you all may already know - The NHL decided to lock out its players following a failure to agree on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.

This season we will be adding some different leagues to our programming.

- OHL (90%+ Coverage)
- AHL (80%+ Coverage) (Starts Oct 12th)
- KHL (80%+ Coverage)

There will be some also be CHL, WHL, QMJHL

Fear not - you will still get to watch plenty of hockey!

Thanks

heavily based on the quality of the original tv feed obviously, but I never really have any lag issues or anything like that if that's what you mean.

you can buy 1 day/week/month/year subs so you can just buy a day and test it out if you want.

I've been a subscriber for hockeystreams.com in 2009/10 and 2010/11.
Before that my connection was apparently not good enough. With the upgraded connection (still very average for overseas standards i think) it worked great for most of 2009/10 (not in HD), but 2010/2011 was a struggle and in the 2nd half of that season it really became unwatchable and useless. You had all these subscribers posting and complaining about the problems (hence it was not a problem on my side) and zero effective support (or refunds) from the site.
Also, back then they showed all NHL games and few else (mostly some international games, like WorldChampionships).
I did center ice once available in 2011/2012 (the assholes won't get 1 dollar from me this year whatever happens).

Now that is great news and would be a big change from the past.
If it stays that way it really is a great option.

Most KHL are available online via illegal streams, but only some are good and having the games available on archive would be completely different. And then there are the other leagues, i'm not sure how many live AHL streams one would get without hockeystreams.com.

How is your connection btw?
mine was/is around 2/3 megabyte per sec most of the time (should be 7 but that never happens) and should have been more than enough for their requirements, but i guess a better connection would help, especially 2yrs later (i.e. now).

going through their archived games, it's worth noting that "most KHL games" is probably not accurate though.

On October 6th they have 1 archived game out of 6 games played.
On October 7th they have 3 out of 5 instead.
On October 8th is 2 out of 7.
2 out of 3 for yesterday.

I guess it depends on the quality of streams/sources available. Anyway, it's probably gonna be less than half the games. Not that it makes it a poor offer obviously.

With all due respect to hockey as a sport, I already gave up wasting my time searching for this shit to watch shitty quality stream. I am with shep here, I give up til they open back up the league, or I'm learning to watch NFL like I've been doing the last 2 weeks.
