thats odd because today I heard he was skating with all his team mates lol. dumb move by the oilers, it sounds like Souray was trying to burry it.inferno31 wroteCOLONOilers have informed Souray he will not be showing up at training camp.
That is ridiculous...Why wasn't Chi, Van, Det or Bos charged a fine? I don't understand how any team can be punished for breaking an unwritten rule, one that was commited by three other parties (with no punishment), no less.inferno31 wroteCOLONSouray was trying to move past it, but organization didn't want to it seems. Gonna be difficult to move him or to bury him in the AHL. Stupid moves.
Also if you hadn't heard already, Devils fined for cap circumvention:
3 million cash fine (not against cap)
1st round pick in one of the next 4 years (NJD has to tell NHL which year at the conclusion of playoffs each year)
3rd round pick 2011
They were the only team fined because they were the only team who had a contract that was denied for cap circumvention. Chi, Van, Det and Bos all had their contracts approved and thus by definition are not guilty of circumventing the cap. Even if they truely should be considered guilty.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONThat is ridiculous...Why wasn't Chi, Van, Det or Bos charged a fine? If im NJD, i will trade the 1st, then tell the nhl to forfeit that pick, and then get more penalties and the franchise is doomed. Then the leafs will make the 8th place instead of the devils... wheeeeeeeee im boredinferno31 wroteCOLONSouray was trying to move past it, but organization didn't want to it seems. Probably Vancouver, I heard they could use the defence, or was that consistent goaltending? I don't remember.bryshook wroteCOLONmy bet is toronto! an extra shoe lace if you will ahhaStarpainter wroteCOLONWow... wonder where he ends up.inferno31 wroteCOLONOilers have informed Souray he will not be showing up at training camp.
But to be fair, he demanded a trade earlier in the year publicly. I hate when players do that. all they do is handcuff the team kinda like Heatley did to Ottawa. Now that the team is looking to be very talented from now on and the future he is willing to stay and play again. I say fuck him and good riddance.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONWow...Bitch move by the Oilers...And then they wonder why no one wants to go there.
So he eventually admitted he's not as good as they are, and despite league value, the teams internal cap system dictates his value -> this contact makes sense iMO.inferno31 wroteCOLONRyan deal official today.
25.5 over 5.
5.1 a year.
vs. 5.325 for Getz and Perry.
Very nice deal for the Ducks. Looks like Ryan caved in his demand for a shorter deal.inferno31 wroteCOLONRyan deal official today.
