I think I like this a lot for both sides as well. Carolina have some sick Dmen coming up they can spare faulk + 8th especially when they gain staal which would finally give them two legit lines. Sutter would be a nice fit in Pitts as well, elite 3rd liner. if they have Crosby + Malkin, Staal is wasted there anyways. So the addition of likely two up and coming Dmen is worth it for them as well.

I hope this trade happens, I love Eric, Ward and the canes. I want to see them in the playoffs again.

He seems like a decent kid who likes to play for the Wild... good on him. Last year he took a serious pay cut when he could have walked.

I could see this too. I love the guy but he is as injury prone, if not more, than Backstrom lol. I know some team would have taken the risk on though.

Backstrom only has 1 year left on his deal. He may even be dealt at the draft as Hackett is NHL ready as he showed last year.

Harding/Hackett would be a more than solid tandem.
