You know what sucks about that Vanek goal? Pominville drew so much attention on the other side by how he positioned himself and that led to Vanek getting so much space yet no assist to Poms. There should be a stat for that shit.

A little extreme but yes. Maybe Goals and Assists should stay the same but there should be some sort of "Adjusted +/-" on every goal for every player ES, SH and PP. Very hard to figure out though from a statistical standpoint.
