You would think they would be up there given how many times they have finished out of the playoffs, but up until recently we didn't even draft well with those picks.

makes me almost as sad as I get when I think about that poor 4 x 100 m relay team of ours.

The relay team hurt/sadness is far more recent of course and there for is probably stronger. Still though. Poor guys...Feel so bad for them, especially the connaughton (sp?) guy who stepped on the line. At least they weren't even expected to be there and they know in their hearts that they were actually the 3rd fastest team out there that night.

I am very, very critical of our olympic athletes, but these guys get my respect. So does Whitfield. Class act and world talent.

Weird to see dmen who look better already be drafted after some others - really shows how odd a draft year it was.

Dumba IMO was our best player last game - and this is the same sorta warm up to a series he has a history of.

been like that all 3 games so far. spott is a tard. doesn't seem to care about winning more interested in treating this like a camp. giving guys like murphy and oullet wayyy too much ice.

rielly is lethal on the pp. it's scary to think that this is him coming off a serious knee injury and having only played like 25 games all last season.

what happens when he shakes the rust off?

Well... Murray is a beast, Yak and Grigs tried him several times 1 on 1 to utter disappointment. However, in his somewhat limited ice time, Reilly was absolutely dynamic, skating is through the roof, read on plays is exceptional and his passing is tight. Sometimes shows a lack of patience IMO, and twice had more time then he used, however neither case was a bad play.

Forwards still leaving a lot on table.

I thought Hudon was dangerous all night, and I rarely noticed him in his own end of the ice, which is often a very positive thing.

Weird not to see more comments after game 4 and Canada's win.

For team Canada, I really appreciated Murray's game in this series.

As for my Russians, Prokhorkin looked rusty and displayed what seems to be his main need: working on agility, feet movement/balance. Also odd to see him looking kinda shy against peers whereas he was not at all shy against seniors in KHL. Was still useful to the team and was sorely missed in game 4 (i guess he suffered some sort of minor injury), especially in the faceoff circle where i think Russia was destroyed.

Good to see Slepyshev being more resemble of his late 2011 version than of his 2012 one. For whatever reason, he was more involved in these exhibition games than he was during the 2012 WJ U18.

Kosov showcased how strong of a North-South skater he is. Still think he should improve his skating in the quick turns. Aside from that, he seems built for the N.A. game, and if he crosses the ocean he should become a NHLer sooner or later. Looking more and more like a nice 5th rounder for the Panthers.

Nesterov, i liked his game as usual. Good mind for the game and pretty complete player, even if he misses a couple of inches.

Good comment.

As for ppl not commenting, it's probably because they forgot that this thread existed/tired/not checking BBKL in the busy times of summer
