Shoalzie wroteCOLONI've not done a lot yet because I'm waiting for more of the offseason to shake out and so I know how much salary I'll probably have to add but a lot of that rests on what happens with the new CBA. I've got quite a few fringe free agents that I'm waiting to see if they get an NHL gig or sign overseas. As more things are determined, I'll be more active. I very well may be the worst team right now...I wouldn't blame anyone who feels that way...but there is still quite a bit to be sorted out.
I'll vote for my team at 30th right now.
I think you're a 29th place team right now. Even higher actually -- you made mistakes in the past that crippled your leverage over time. However, you've slowly improved and resisted the urge to upgrade for short-term fixes. As far as I'm concerned, your will-power, recognition of mistakes, and the respect you've earned from the majority of GMs here means your team is far better than you're willing to give yourself credit for.
Good luck this year, Scott.
Thanks...
What I lack is a marquee player that will help me rise up the standings or that I can use to get other stuff. You look at Lee and he's able to plug in some quality prospects that he's accumulated and I see him improving. I was very fortunate last year with Hagelin getting a chance to play and played well. I don't have the collection of exciting parts to go after real impact players to move me up so it's better to just be patient and let things play out with what I have. I have a lot of projects in my system...I haven't had the high picks that allowed me to find young players I can plug in immediately. The next couple drafts, I hope to be more of a player and I can find some pieces to build around. It's not fun to lose but hopefully being patient will pay off over time.
omg...somebody just let him back in... it's kinda obvious

My teams one of the worst for current value, but I really like my young players and I think my team will grow a lot as a whole. Pieces like my first next year and Karlsson give me hope to turn my team around one day, but I think I have to be patient and not throw away by high potential guys. Detroit Scott is a smart guy but I don't really see much upside on his roster so I'd put him in last I guess, and because I obviously like my own players I couldn't vote against myself.

This would be much easier if everybody posted their lineups somewhere. I'm too lazy to check everyones teams on cbs.

As much as I feel he doesnt deserve last spot I'd have to go with Mr Scott and Detroit on this one.
Honestly it feels like a great disservice to the turnaround you've made over the past couple years Scott. You've taken some very significant steps in the right direction for your club. Keep going the way you are and you'll easily be a playoff bound team in no time!

It's certainly true that Lee's vastly improved his goaltending and D core... but now he has no forwards lol
