Seriously though, the only reason I called you an idiot is because you completely twisted my words, I NEVER said you had a shit farm, never said your team was too old (unless I was trash talking), and I certainly value Tim Connolly, but you never asked....
I am just trash talking too, seriously, dont take me serious either, if i took what you said serious I know that is not your intention. Sometimes it gets close to that line where you think is he serious, then you say , No that's Kareem...Its all good. your an idiot
Well Fack...this is always the way it is post trade. You try and move a player that you must move and gauge his value then when you finally do move him a bunch of folks come out of the woodwork to say they would have loved to have him, and would have given more. What else could i have done. I posted his name on the trade board, i put him on my block, and i included him in almost every offer i made. I think i did my leg work. I am happy with where I am now and the fucking cripple can go break his feet on someone else's team...LOL sorry Mike!

i understand the cap thing but its barely june man. there still so much time to work out cap issues...and i mean the pick isnt even top 3...or even top 5...
Nah, Its all good. I've done more research on prospects and learned so much this year that i never did before. This draft could be very similar to 2003. I'm getting a stud at 7 and my team is looking fine for this upcoming season. I know i had all season long for cap issues but not when you want to draft in 2010.
No draft will ever be like 2003, that was a baby boom draft, and one of the best in sports period...Not only did the NHL experience it's greatest drafting year in 2003, so too did the NBA (Bosh, Wade, Hinrich, LBJ, Ford, Mello, Kaman, Pietrus, Ridnour, Wes, Outlaw, Jones, Barbosa, Kapone, Williams, Pachulia, etc etc.). Needless to say there will NEVER be another draft like the 2003 one in this decade, maybe ever...
It certainly is a year for benchmarks. I think this year will be as close to that year as we have been though, may not be equal!

Will be interesting to see who you take with that pick, I view one player in particulaur (who should fall) as a potential game breaker, and a bunch of other hit or miss types.
And yeah, I'm not serious about anything...I actually talk to people like this outside of the web, and no one takes it to heart, because that's just how I am, an incredibly sarcastic human being.

2008 is the only draft in this decade that will compare to 2003... IMO....and i don't mean as good, i mean be the 2nd best in terms of impact on the league... 2010 will not decide who the powers are in the league.

the 2010 NHL draft is a deep draft as in a lot of prospects from it should make the NHL. It doesn't have near the star power of 2003.. I highly doubt it anyway! If we re-did that draft today, Taylor Hall wouldn't be in the top 10 of 2003..

2003 was EPIC! Figures we didn't have even one pick that year...God JFJ was such a moron.

Matt and I were just discussing that on xbox the other day.. it's so depressing to think back about that! Brutal.. I'd love to get ahold of JFJ and COs pre-draft rankings to see who they would've selected. Fuck, Kesler? Perry? Richards? off the board with Shea Web? Loui E? Man, the possibilities.. obviously some not so glamorous names but the possibility for a gamebreaker, even with 21(?) was insanely possible.. even look at the 8th & 9th rounds.. some NHLers down there too.

2003 was epic - and yet the Sharks still fucked it up with two first rounders (Milan Michalek + Steve Bernier)
Our scouts are the worst ...

Now, I'm not saying I'd take everyone of these guys over Taylor Hall but I see around 10 that I would take over him and a few I'd 2nd guess on before selecting Hall. I've watched Hall play a lot.. amazing talent, I love the kid but 2003 was just unbelievably epic. I guess we'll find out what Taylor develops into real soon, definitely has a chance to be an elite talent.

it's not like the scouts could know about his knee giving up 3 times early in his career...

And picking up Kristich in 2000 was a huge bust for the leafs, not the best move from Pat Quinn

hang on, if we're talking hindsight... its not how to look at drafts.... in hindsight that draft would be vastly different... likely beginning with weber...LOL... and he was what again? #49??
but if talyor had his past 2 seasons prior to the 2003 draft, there is no question he's top 3 again...
