Topher wroteCOLONAnd Mike being a smart ass doesnt make you clever, I am quite aware of what a hyperbole is. This league has become very whiny about a lot of little things that we should not be concerned with. As far as telling him to get on and be active, I just told him today that people want to see him be more active, so we will see what he does.
I agree with you that he league does definitely get whiny about little things quite frequently.. but this isn't little.. and it's something we've always stressed fro day one. Activity is a MUST.

Speaking of Cliff..we bitched, moaned about his activity level and it has increased by million.. really, it isn't much to ask of someone.. we all want guys who give a shit.

Don't wanna overstep my bounds here, but thought I'd weigh in on my first impressions of the league but won't mention any names good or bad unless members of the CC want to hear particulars on MSN/PM...
When I first joined I talked to several members and generally speaking everyone has been good and helpful with any questions I have had. However as I have continued to participate in the league there are several members whom I have little to no contact with, and there are in fact a handful of GM's who I have yet to talk to at all, even after I have sent PM's/attempted to add them on MSN
Secondly as a new member I did feel at times caught between personal squabbles among GM's who attempt to sway my views on value one way or another, and in a few cases had trades rejected because it was felt that I was relying upon the views of others too much in my counters etc.
Thirdly I believe that some revisions to the trade buddy system would be helpful for future GM's, (this is not a commentary on Kareem's abilities in the least but rather the system as a whole) but that the idea is definitely a good one

.....would also like to say that I did receive several warnings about a particular GM upon entering the league, and have found them to be inaccurate (thus far anyways) haha

awesome for sharing those views Josh. Not an easy place to break into we know, lots of pre-established relationships with some weird boundaries; and despite everyone wanting the help the new-guy, serious abuse is common, you've moved in very well to date. Keep it up, look forward to future conversations and your continued involvement!

A weird one is between Billy and Myself, constant talk, lots of review for each other, virtually nothing in terms of trading partners, but I'd like to think we're pretty honest with each other. The Benn C situation irks him something vicious  at least amount it's mentioned feels that way. No hard feelings though, going into next week at least  then, friends = off.

Ye the irony isn't missed. However it's not like it was a planned switch; and to be fair I offered early in the season to make a mandatory W->C review but wasn't supported. To be accurate I was against end of season C listings being so obviously wrong because of a horrible subjective positioning system.

I'm 100% aware of the pending switch to C @ ASB when I'll have to make roster moves, but I do believe it's an example of the system The coaches move to C couldn't be planned for in the off-season, rumours and ideas are one thing, but most turn out to be nothing -> however due to a reasonable sample time (of GP), it's fair and right to move the to 'C' listing for the remainder of our season, where everyone will be reviewed again.

Note: it's not like i've received a single (real) trade offer on Benn, or that he's alone in the W playing C -> Patty Kane should prepare for the potential switch as well, and 3-6 others. Doesn't matter who the owner is or what their argument is.

In terms of being upset about activity -> i see the concern during the active year. I hate the argument during the off-season.

Alfa is good shit, but it would be better for EVERYONE if he was around the forums a little more. It's nice to see new guys wanting to get involved, it takes time to break into the community, but we're a pretty fun place when rolling. We DON"T want to remove GMs and find new ones (rinse and repeat), as new ones take time to fit in, however we are a changing culture ( does this even exist? what is culture?) -> fine changing climate, and new members are very important. Come in and make your mark 2nick!!! we know you were handed a shitty as hand, no one is blaming you for team rank. However i've not seen you making reads on players or finding hidden value in the league, or making tight friends to make a buddy deal with :P (thanks Kareem, cue Mike patting me on the behind)... but sitting sitll with a junk team isn't going to fix it! well, unless you own all your draft picks and are super duper patient, and even then, in that case we'd need some forum activity.

I trust you Topher (and Mashley) that he cares and is thinking about the league, would be awesome to see him around a little more!

And yes, straight up -->good tenure in the BBKL allots you leeway on gaps of activity.

Well, I asked because I have no fucking clue where he is. I'm supposed to be playing against him, and I see four active players on his roster who are all on the IR. That tells me that he's not active -- nor showing an interest in being active. Not even sure why you're defending him. You're just as bad sometimes.

That's all well and true, but after a quick glance at his reserves, there really isn't anyone who he can replace those players with you actually are active, there may be a guy or two there that I missed but there is no glaring omission.

.....He's also ahead of you so far this week isn't he? ha

By the time the week is over, I'll probably have taken 9-10 categories from him. Which is unfortunate because I want him to do well.

I've got like 6 guys in the reserves that played tonight. If you need some depth/roster players/games played Tunic, drop me a PM.
