years of work building a periph-based team?
I think that's what Tony means. He wants to leave NYI and its assets behind and take over the SJS franchise and Neel's assets. The New GM will take NYI and its assets.Mike wroteCOLONHe hasn't proposed switching assets.
He wanted to switch names but that is not possible. He is a sharks fan. I'd give up every asset I've got and take over ANY type of team to get the Leafs name/logo as a fan.Shep wroteCOLONSwitching assets is lame IMO. After building what he has, I don't know why he'd want to be handed a better team.
Nope..SuperMario wroteCOLONI think that's what Tony means. He wants to leave NYI and its assets behind and take over the SJS franchise and Neel's assets. The New GM will take NYI and its assets.Mike wroteCOLONHe hasn't proposed switching assets.
What why? What's the difference?Mike wroteCOLONNope..SuperMario wroteCOLONI think that's what Tony means. He wants to leave NYI and its assets behind and take over the SJS franchise and Neel's assets. The New GM will take NYI and its assets.Mike wroteCOLONHe hasn't proposed switching assets.
Let's omit that for a moment. My question is this: If Tony wants to leave NYI and its assets and take over SJS and its assets, is that going to be a problem?Mike wroteCOLONWhat you think Tony is asking for is not correct. He wants to keep his assets.
why?MSP4LYFE wroteCOLON^ Yes, that is a problem.
1) Sets a bad precedenceSuperMario wroteCOLONwhy?MSP4LYFE wroteCOLON^ Yes, that is a problem.
You're not listening. It's a GM swap. Not a team swap. Tony will take over SJS and Thornton, Backstrom, Chara and allthe assets Neel owns IN THE WEST. With the new GM taking over NYI with Fisher Ward etc that are part of NYI right now.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLON1) Sets a bad precedenceSuperMario wroteCOLONwhy?MSP4LYFE wroteCOLON^ Yes, that is a problem.
2) Puts a weaker team in the West (current New York Islanders), and stronger team in the East (current San Jose Sharks)
I'm telling you right now, if it comes down to it, he will leave NYI and its assets behind just to have the Sharks logo. Which is why I'm asking, if he agrees to that is it cool?Mike wroteCOLON...but Tony doesn't want to do that.
I see nothing wrong with Switch Teams Altogether. If I was a Flames fan, i would give Frank the Penguins and All my assets just to take over that shithole of a team.Nick wroteCOLONWe do not allow GMs to switch assets (aka a GM switch)-> very silly precedence; switching in general is shitty, however in the case where a favourite team comes up we have in past allowed the title switch (keeping all of own assets). We are currently discussing the topic in the CC+admins, however... we've turned down lots of other moves - just to be clear.
Title - sure get to have your team in your favourite team's colours.
Assets - just not the purpose of building you own team long-term.
Same answer, no. It doesn't matter if it is a name swap, asset swap or what have you, the answer is no. The precedent for these moves was set in the summer.SuperMario wroteCOLONI'm telling you right now, if it comes down to it, he will leave NYI and its assets behind just to have the Sharks logo.
