Be glad it wasn't europe. I've been grounded for things ranging from a volcano to honestly 2 inches of snow when I was there.. Stupid country shut down with 2-3 inches of snow.
Year n half ago was the worst travel story of my life.
My flight got canceled within the UK, I tried to take a subway which then closed down as a water main burst. Then I took a nice 160 dollar cab ride (more than my canceled flight cost) from the airport to the train station, and paid 3x the normal fee for a train. The train took 4 times longer than it should have (12 hours.. longer than I was even in the air), the whole time I have barely slept. Got home was pouring rain all my shit is soaked and my suitcase broke. Opened my door found a letter saying I was being sued and due in court tomorrow. I promptly passed out.
tell me about it bro. today, i went to take a drink from a water fountain and it sprayed all over my shirt. fuck eh.

Thankfully it wasn't as bad as it was being made out to be but flooding is going to be rough and millions on the east coast are without power. My sister opted to hunker down at her place in Jersey...she lives inland but potentially in a flood plain. She lost power briefly but got it back.
I hope you're safe and sound, Kyle! All the best to you eastern Canadians...

yea its not too bad. Had many worse storms than this. Only issue is they are usually in winter with no leaves on trees. Totally different to get wind like this in summer. I have had 3 power outages so far. Only minimal. And my lawnchairs blew over and my outdoor table lol. Should be lots without power though. We got 70 mm i believe, which is nothing...
