facey wroteCOLONRichards had 18:52/game with 2min's shorthand, and actually the least of everyone we're talking about even strength.
Crater had less toi/game and played short handed (18:14, 40second SH, for Jeff versus 18:18 that Dany played none of which shorthanded)
Giroux lead forward in TOI by a fair margin, leading their forwards in PP and SH, however Dany led the team in EV toi.
Anyways, the suggestion that Grioux moves anywhere but the the #1 centre role, that he by all indications had already, or that Briere somehow loses toi, is simply wrong. Sure perhaps in 1-2 years they project Schenn to be playing a big role, but saying he's already earned a top 6 role seems out to lunch to me.
We are looking at different numbers, I am referring to the regulaur season, and you are referring to the post season.
In regards to your second post, I never claimed that Schenn takes over for Giroux and Briere, in fact I think he starts off on the third line, but eventually will supplant Briere as the second line center, or force one of Giroux/Briere to the wing.

Schenn suits the flyers... ditto with Simmonds. Man, sure wish the leafs got in here somewhere.

Elliot Friedman was on the round table last night, and according to his source "who knows the Flyers organization well", the Flyers did not believe they could make it back to the Cup Finals with Richards and Carter. Take from that what you will...

Ye, heard that story...However just 1 year ago they were in the finals... this year they both had surgery a week after they were eliminated... @ 25 and top end players I'm calling BS.

Another very interesting tidbit, not gonna lie, this one caught me off guard...
Head OHL scout of the Pittsburgh Penguins, David McNamurra was on the Norm Rumack show today, and remarked the following (paraphrased), "I am a big fan of both Carter and Richards, and they have given us a tough go over the years, but the Flyers did really well in the trades, and as much as I hate to say it improved their team."
