A great battle involves two great teams, last week was more of a one sided affair, or no show so to speak.
for once i agree.

Well, one thing is for certain...I'm not running away from you.
say what you will we all know the main reason you want to switch is to improve your odds of winning. i firmly believe no more team switches should happen. if there is an asymmetry in power it will adjust itself just like in the real nhl. there is no reason to switch.

I'm absolutely switching to improve my odds, that said the difference between conferences is far too great, I would argue it is even worse now than it was last year. This isn't the real world, GM's aren't fired for unsuccessful seasons, nor is there monetary incentive to improve. The easiest way to determine the balance of power is the quality of managers, and at the moment, the best are in the East.

kareem. what is to stop switching every single year? when will power/skill be balanced? everything you are saying is subjective.

Note to CC: No more switches should be allowed. It was a mistake when we first did it - thats done now and its too late to fix it. but If the door on switching teams is opened every season, GMs will start moving every year. This needs to stop.

btw this is probably the least competitive thing i've ever heard you say. you want to leave the east because you are afraid you wont be able to ice a team good enough to consistently beat scott/kyle/nick? theres more honour in sticking to your guns and trying your best to win.

The good teams this year, are the very same teams that were good last year...No subjectivity, no need to change every year, we just need to get it right once...

If it were a matter of just beating Scott, Kyle, or Nick it wouldn't be an issue, but as it stands, I need to beat two of those teams, and yourself (in consecutive weeks) just to make the finals, which is more than just unlikely, it's a statistical impossibility, and I'm the 4th highest ranked team in this league...Conversely weaker team in the West are more than likely to go farther based on the inferior competition of their division. We need to balance the schedule, or swap teams. The current setup is severely flawed.

I really don't give two shits, what the CC allows me to do...I'm switching regardless, whether it be through a simple switch, or quitting and then returning with a new team makes no difference to me.

LOL. to this day i thought you played sports and were...you know very competitive. its pathetic that you will go this much out of your way to avoid tough competition.

The fact you yourself acknowledge moving to the West "avoids tough competition", just further emphasizes my argument.

no your argument is stupid. i guarantee the power balance will shift next year for sure again. switching teams is not the way to even out power/skill. gms in the west that are behind simply need to be given time to be competitive. you moving to the west would force more teams to tank. instead teams like nashville/minnesota/columbus/dallas are progressing. power will readjust itself. the solution is for the current gms in the west to make the necessary moves and it is on them. you cannot keep switching teams. it makes no sense.

And you said my argument was stupid...The vast majority of talent is in the Eastern Conference, unless we all go full retard and trade it away for scraps, your "shifting of power" theory holds no weight. The only way I could see powers shifting is if weaker teams drafted the future top players of tomorrow, and kept them in the West, but that won't happen, and even if it did, would take years and years before it had an effect.

Secondly, no where have I suggested switches every year, though I see no problem with that either, if it were the best way to prevent the imbalance of power, what I am suggesting is making multiple switches once, as opposed to one or two, and get it right immediately, so it won't have to happen again.

The only reason Billy and I switched was to get all NHL teams back into the league and I didn't want to be the Sens. If it was a team in the East I switched with, then there would have been no conference switching.

the fact that you think switching teams every year is acceptable makes you sound retarded. power balance as viewed by you is subjective. the west has some great teams only a few moves away from being as strong as the top 3 teams in the east.

this move is essentially for your own selfish benefit. not the leagues.

LOL, you are an idiot...I'd love for you to tell me how balancing powers between conferences is for my own selfish benefit, this should be fun.

way to steal the GDT thread... I had just explained the serious difference in GP over the next 2 days and you guys are busy having a bitching-fest.

Any conference changes will be an admin/CC decision in the off-season; balancing the schedule more is of far greater importance then moving you to the West -> You are right that you'll have to beat 3 good teams if you finish outside the top 3 in the east... Currently you'd face TOR then BOS then NJD (assuming top seat wins each time, there will be an upset again in the BBKL). That is not notably different from what SJS would have to deal with: VAN, then COL followed up by STL/LAK.

Lets throw everyones name in a hat and start drawing and make up our own divisions...? ;)

Would be fun though... :D

Actually i will do this using an RNG synced to LUT just for fun.

this is what came out of RNG. Letters equal divisions...

--A---B----C-----D---E---F----
PHX DAL ATL FLA TOR DET
PIT NSH PHI NYR OTT MTL
EDM SJS BUF COL NYI NJD
MIN CLB VAN STL CHI ANA
WSH CAR BOS TBL CGY LAK

Funny how Shiv and Kareem ended up in same division..lol
